About Me

I love working with people and believe everyone is multi-layered. Whatever parts of your story you are bringing to the table to have witnessed or to seek change in, the journey toward healing requires courage. Whatever it is you are seeking counselling for, many of the hurts we carry in our lived stories need far more room to breath and to be than we are given in our daily lives. My specialties are working with anger, grief, identity struggles, and relationship issues, yet I am well seasoned in working with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem and can offer companionship through many interpersonal hardships.

Therapeutic Approach

In therapy, I desire to co-create goals with you. I believe you are an expert in your own story, and am present to guide and reflect back to you during our time together. I am warm and curious, and will always strive to focus our sessions on honesty, while also supporting you in your strengths, hopes, and vulnerabilities.

I am honoured to ever be chosen to journey so closely with a person as therapy invites. If you feel led to connect further, please know that the privilege to listen and learn from you is mine, and with the upmost gratitude and integrity I move forward in relationship alongside you. I am available to mirror back to you whatever it is you are needing to see.

Education/Clinical Experience

I graduated with my MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, based out of New Brunswick, Canada. For the last year and a half I have worked full time as a private practice therapist in the Arlington and Darrington public school systems, focusing my energy on working with children, adolescents, teenagers and their families. Before beginning my career as a therapist, I was a teacher who focused almost exclusively on working with First Nations communities and youth.

Training/Experience

I am currently in the process of attaining my practitioner certification in Somatic Experience Therapy (founded by Peter Levine), and as of June 2024 have completed my Expressive Arts certificaiton for therapy. I am also a practicing Outdoor Therapist, where I train and work with Rites of Passage based organizations that focus on creating moments of meaning with young women as they transition from childhood to adolescents.
