Areas of Special Focus, & Work Experience

I have 30 years of experience working with adults who have suffered severe and persistent trauma, childhood abuse, and neglect of all kinds. This means I also work with the full range of dissociative disorders, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression and relationship problems that can result.

As a holistic depth therapist and healer, I pursue the root cause of the issues causing pain by addressing the client’s personal history, family of origin and the possible larger context of historical and inter-generational trauma.

I believe the counseling relationship to be a place where you and I can partner in safety and mutual respect to address the issues that are causing you distress and pain. Through holistic treatment (physical, emotional, mental, relational and spiritual aspects of your being), we will work together to address your unique needs.

My therapeutic style is empathic, intuitive and relational. Drawing on the latest insights from neurobiology, attachment theory and the effects of trauma on the body, I provide trauma-informed care. I also utilize Lifespan Integration protocols and am currently pursuing certification in this modality.

Personal Information

I am a grandmother (“Abuelita”), wife to my husband for 33 years, one who feels Spirit in the forest and the ocean, birdsong, the fragrance of warm loamy earth, the rush of the wind, the sound of water and the crackle and aroma of campfire. I am a lifelong learner, enjoy growing my medicinal herb garden and experimenting with permaculture, walking our 100 lb Great Pyrenees in the woods and holding my grand babies.
