Approach
Finding a therapist can be a daunting task. My hope is to provide a safe and comforting environment where you can just be, without the judgment or criticism. I treat individuals (teens 14+ and adults), couples, and families with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, anger, relationship troubles, depression, sexual identity, cultural identity, and self esteem. I work to establish a place and a relationship between us to explore your most personal challenges openly and truthfully. Through therapy, we will work together to achieve new and healthy thought patterns, stronger relationships, self confidence, and a sense of wellbeing. In therapy, I use a blend of therapeutic approaches, including relational psychoanalysis, family systems, and client centered therapy.
Education and Training:
Upon entering into college, I knew I wanted to become a therapist. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwest University, and began the process of my Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology 3 months after graduating. During this time, I worked as a residential counselor of children and teens living in a group home, and also worked in a clinic that specialized in sexual violence. My internship was through Greenlake Wellness Group, a holistic health environment that provided low-income counseling. Today, I am now licensed in the state of Washington as a LMHCA with a private office located in Queen Anne.
