Therapeutic Approach

In counseling, my hope for you is that you will experience personal growth and transformation in a setting that is both theologically sound and psychologically effective.  Therefore, we will most likely examine how your faith is informed by your life and your life informed by your faith.

We will work to accomplish the goals you establish for our time together in a way that affirms your dignity and the dignity of others. I am committed to working alongside you as you encounter pain and sorrow, joy and hope and all else you may be faced with.

Education and Clinical Experience

D.Min., Transformational Leadership, Bakke Graduate University, Seattle, WA, 2005
M.A., Applied Behavioral Science, LIOS City University, Seattle, WA, 1994
B.A., Social Services and Sociology, Seattle Pacific University, Seattle, WA, 1990
A.A., Trinity Western University, Langley, B.C., 1976

As a clinical supervisor and licensed mental health counselor, I carry a selective caseload to provide supervision or individual counseling, group therapy, treatment and training primarily for survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence, trauma and abuse locally and worldwide.

Personal Interests

I love the urban core and I love the wilderness.  Make it fun and reflective and I’m there either in person or in spirit. I love the story of God and all it entails. I am a follower of Jesus, a daughter, wife, mum, step mum, mother-in-law, grandma, friend, woman and in the midst of it all, I feel the call of the wild.
