I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, providing therapy to preteens, adolescents and adults. I work from a stengths-based approach with individuals, couples and families. I see therappy as a collaborative work with your treatment goals in mind when addressing relational issues, parenting challenges, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, spirituality challenges, ADD/ADHD, and transitions throughout life.
One of my passions is working with couples to build and maintain healthy emotional connections, whether you are dating, engaged, married, or dealing with divorce. In my desire to help couples using evidence based approaches, I have completed the level 1 clincian training of the Gottman Method. I have knowledge of Discernment Counseling, Emotion Focused Therapy and I am a certified PREPARE/Enrich Facilitator.
Another of my passions is empowering parents for the challenges that the complexity of parenting presents at different stages in raising kids. My upbringing in a Spanish-speaking country and a Christian home offers me the opportunity to provide therapy in Spanish, offer special insight to the Christian faith community and to the Latino community. However, I welcome diversity as I have successfully served people from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds.
