Therapeutic Approach

My name is Amanda Weiss, MSW, LSWA-IC and I am a Clinical Social Worker. I am currently
accepting clients for teletherapy services. I enjoy working with people and I am knowledgeable
in evidence-based treatment modalities including trauma based cognitive behavioral therapy
and motivational interviewing. My background includes working with children, youth,
adolescents, and adults. I specialize in complex trauma issues. I work with many other issues
including anxiety, depression, and ADHD to name a few. I have additional trainings in trauma,
domestic violence, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Education and Clinical Experience

I currently hold a bachelors and masters degree in clinical social work from Simmons University and a bachelors degree in psychology and pre-medicine from Washington State University.

I have had the opportunity to work with behaviorally challenged foster youth and their parent or guardian through a behavioral health agency and the Department of Child, Youth, and Family. I have also held a remote position as a case manager for a Medicaid health insurance company serving families throughout Washington State. As a case manager, I was able to use my clinical skills, while also supplying community resources and referring members to Washington state health care providers, such as, primary care providers, midwives, doulas, OB’s, counselors, and psychiatrists. Furthermore, I have experience with individual and group therapy in intensive outpatient programs for teens, young adults, and geriatrics.

If you think we are a good match, I encourage you to reach out to me for a free consultation to discuss your unique situation. If it sounds like we would be a good fit, we can discuss details at that time!

Insurances Accepted

I currently take Premera, LifeWise and private pay. I also offer a sliding scale on a case-by-case basis.
