Advocacy

No one ever deserves abuse, and it is also our belief that God desires safety and love to be present in all relationships.  Northwest Family Life’s Advocacy and Support Program provides information and support to survivors of domestic violence, those currently dealing with an abusive situation, or those still healing from and remembering past abuse.

We offer the following:

  • Advocacy-based Support Groups
  • Individual Safety Planning
  • Referrals to Community Services
  • Advocacy Resources

We encourage you to contact us and allow us to provide you information, education and support to help you make safe decisions for you and your family.  We seek to empower you to choose the best course for your physical, emotional, and spiritual safety.  Our advocates can also help you locate housing and shelter services in your area.  These services are free of charge.  We may also be able to help you find counseling and other resources available at low cost on a sliding scale.  For more information, please Contact Us.

Dinah is a woman in our Advocacy and Support Program involved in a free support group.  We encourage you to read her story and see the changes she made in her life after learning about domestic violence and receiving the sincere support of our advocates and fellow group members. See Our Stories.
