Background:

I studied at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology from 2012-2015. Throughout this
process, I learned that all of us encounter shame in our lives. Only by facing it can we transform
ourselves and embrace who we really are. I believe that harm occurs in relationship, which
means that healing also needs to take place in relationship with someone we trust.

In 2015, I completed my clinical internship at Sound Mental Health in Tukwila, WA. I then
worked on the same team at SMH from 2015 - 2017 with a focus on children and families. I went
to different schools in the area and met with kids during their school day. I also worked with
families to process chaos in their family systems and helped them step toward each other in
kinder ways. I am passionate about working with men's issues, attachment, trauma, and helping
others be more authentic with themselves and with others in relationship. I am currently a
children's mental health specialist in Washington State.

Personal Info:

I grew up as an MK in Guadalajara Mexico. As a third culture kid, I understand the unique
challenges someone might face while living in a foreign country, losing one's identity or sense-
of-self due to the new culture, and then having reverse culture shock to return home and feel
"different." It is extremely difficult to live between worlds and to not fit in with either a home
culture or the culture away from home. I also have a heart for people who have lost a sense of
comfort from spiritual beliefs that no longer feel relevant to internal/external struggles in life. I
can relate to the feeling of being an exile, and have a heart for others who have gone through
similar circumstances.
I speak Spanish fluently and can meet with you in Spanish if needed.
