Education and Experience
I graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs with a Bachelors in Psychology in December 2015. During this time, I enjoyed working at an internship with the company AspenPointe. At this internship, I had the pleasure of learning how to conduct art therapy with military Veterans. From Colorado, I moved to Oahu, Hawaii and I pursued a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Hawaii Pacific University, where I graduated in August 2016. My education in Hawaii included a 9-month internship where I worked on a school-based team through Tripler Army Medical Center. Here I worked with mostly Elementary and Middle school children and their families. From Hawaii, I returned home to Washington where I accepted a position as a school-based Behavior Technician. In this position, I was trained in Applied Behavior Analysis and I worked primarily with children diagnosed with Autism and oppositional behaviors. I am actively licensed with the state of Washington as a Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA).

Grief and Loss
Children, adolescents, families, and military
I was raised in a military family so I have come to love traveling to new countries and learning about new cultures. I love being outdoors, whether that be camping in the mountains or laying on the beach. I also enjoy taking my two dogs, Gunner and Roxy, for walks at night with my husband. I also love reading a good book when it is raining outside along with a delicious Starbucks coffee. Because of my military upbringing and having married a military Veteran, I am extremely passionate about helping Veterans coping with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, as well as helping their families.
