The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology- MA- Counseling Psychology
I completed my formal training as a Mental Health Counselor at The Seattle School of Theology
and Psychology with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. After my time at The Seattle School, I
started a private practice, Sojourner Counseling, where I have had the honor of stepping into the
lives of individuals and couples who are seeking healing in their relationships and new ways of
living out their stories. While finishing my training at The Seattle School, I participated in a
professional internship at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue, WA. My experience at Westminster
Chapel continued to prepare me to offer counseling for individuals, couples, and adolescents who
are seeking recovery from traumatic life experiences.
I believe that each person’s life is shaped in the context of meaningful relationships. Therefore, it
is only in the context of a relationship that a person grows a new way of relating to self and
others. Together, you and I journey through the narratives of heartache and confusion with
patience, honor, and kindness. This work is often painful, but the result of the journey is finding
your self, and your self is worth finding. My role is to journey with you as you discover more of
who you are and who you want to become. Part of our time together will be addressing your
unique past experiences of harm and how these experiences have continued to have an impact on
the present. This endeavor is a courageous one, and I believe that the more that these experiences
can be talked about and grieved, the more freedom and new ways of being will discovered.
Areas of Focus: Depression, Anxiety, Issues of Abuse and Neglect, and Sexual Abuse.
