Debbie believes the process of therapy can be a transforming experience, and offers her clients an inviting, respectful and reflective place to discuss their life issues. Since counseling is a personal process, she and her clients work together to understand their concerns and seek healthy changes. Debbie’s style is relational and draws from many different therapeutic strategies and theories, depending on the client’s needs (Psychodynamic, Attachment, Interpersonal Process, Dialectical Behavior (DBT), Cognitive Behavior (CBT), Family Systems, Object Relations, Existential, Narrative, and Solution Focused Therapy). Sessions will be safe, open and honest, focusing on reality while pursuing healing and hope.

In 1991, Debbie earned her BS in Health Education from Cal. State Univ. Northridge, got married and raised a family, and then returned to Graduate school to earn her MA in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2014. She is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of WA.
Debbie grew up in Hawaii and loves and respects the outdoors and all God has created. She’s been married 17 years to her spouse and has navigated the challenges of blending a family of 3 terrific children. In her spare time, she loves to read and learn, hike, eat, travel, exercise, enjoy movies and spend quality time with her family and friends.
