FORMAL TRAINING

I completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Art Therapy at Antioch University, Seattle, in 2013.  I am in the final stages of completing my dissertation for my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Seattle.  License No. and State: LH 60736664 Washington

MY EXPERIENCE

I have experience in school settings working with children struggling with behavioral and severe mental health conditions, and I have also spent time in community mental health organizations in the Seattle area.  I have benefited from clinical experiences within two university counseling centers, one at the University of Washington, and a doctoral internship at the State University of New York at Oneonta. I have worked with a wide spectrum of ages, races, gender expressions, and sexualities, as diversity has been of the utmost importance in my work as a clinician.

MY APPROACH

My goal within individual therapy is to create the type of safety and support that will allow you to feel valued, respected, and capable of growth, change, and insight.  I will work alongside you to bolster change in ways that feel intuitive and connected to your cultural values and belief systems, while also offering my expertise and training to support you i reaching your goals.  I integrate art and creativity into my practice, as sometimes words are not sufficient to express our present circumstances.  Deciding to seek help can sometimes be difficult.  Whether you decide to work with me or another clinician, I wish you courage, hope, and self-compassion as you move forward on your journey.
